HUBUNGAN STIMULASI PERKEMBANGAN DENGAN PERKEMBANGAN ANAK USIA PRASEKOLAH DI TK GASEH POMA BANDA ACEH TAHUN 2022

Background: Development is a process of psychological change as a result of the maturation of a child's psychological and physical functions. The Indonesian Ministry of Health (2006) states that 16% of toddlers in Indonesia experience developmental disorders. Many developmental disorders that occur in children are the result of a lack of stimulation provided. Objective: This research is to determine the relationship between developmental stimulation and the development of preschool children at Gash Poma Kindergarten, Banda Aceh. This type of research is descriptive correlative with a cross sectional study design with
a sample of 76 respondents, namely preschool age children and their mothers. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The data collection tool is a questionnaire. The data analysis method was carried out using the chi-square statistical test. Results: research shows that there is a relationship between stimulation of development and the development of preschool age children (p-value 0.000) and if viewed from 4 aspects, there is a relationship between stimulation of gross motor development (p-value 0.000), stimulation of fine motor development (-value 0.000) , stimulation of language development (p-value 0.021) and stimulation of social behavior development (p-value 0.000), with the development of preschool-aged children at the Gaseh Poma Kindergarten, Banda Aceh. It is hoped that parents will increase the provision of developmental stimulation to children to obtain appropriate child development.
