Abstract

 Bullying behavior is an action carried out repeatedly over time by one or more individuals and violates social norms. Bullying behavior consists of physical, verbal, relational, sexual, and cyber bullying. One of the impacts caused by bullying is social interaction. Social interaction is a dynamic social relationship that involves relationships between individuals, between groups of people, or between individuals and groups. Objective  To determine the relationship between the tendency of bullying behavior and social interaction among adolescents at SMP 1 Meulaboh. Methods This study used a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 100 respondents selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected from January 10 to 14, 2024, and analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. Results The analysis showed a relationship between the tendency of bullying behavior and social interaction among adolescents at SMP 1 Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, with a p-value of 0.024 (< α 0.05). Conclusion Bullying behavior has a significant effect on social interaction among adolescents. Suggestion It is recommended that the school facilitate meetings with parents to provide education about the causes and impacts of bullying behavior among adolescents.
