Scabies is a contagious skin infection caused by the female mite Sarcoptes scabiei var. hominis. Scabies is influenced by several factors, one of which is environmental sanitation. Poor environmental sanitation can lead to the occurrence of scabies and can be transmitted to people around. Objective: To determine the effect of environmental sanitation on scabies. Methods: This study used an analytic survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total of 70 respondents. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square statistical test. Results: The analysis results showed a significant p-value of 0.000, indicating a relationship between environmental sanitation and scabies. Conclusion: Environmental sanitation has a significant effect on the occurrence of scabies. Suggestion: It is recommended that the boarding school provide information to students to maintain environmental cleanliness and conduct routine inspections of the rooms they occupy.
