Hubungan Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Ibu Dengan Imunisasi Hb0 Di Ruang Nicu Rumah Sakit Harapan Bunda Banda Aceh

Abstract

Immunization aims to reduce morbidity and mortality caused by vaccine-preventable diseases. Indonesia ranks fourth among countries with incomplete basic immunization coverage, following Ethiopia. This condition may be influenced by a lack of understanding regarding knowledge, attitudes, and parental decision-making in immunizing their children. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between mothers’ knowledge and attitudes and HB0 immunization in the NICU of Harapan Bunda Hospital, Banda Aceh. Methods: This study used a correlational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 90 respondents selected using accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires measuring knowledge, attitudes, and HB0 immunization. Data collection was conducted from November 2 to December 10, 2022, in the NICU of Harapan Bunda Hospital, Banda Aceh. Results: The results of the chi-square test showed a p-value of 0.000 for each variable studied, indicating statistically significant relationships. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between mothers’ knowledge and attitudes and HB0 immunization. Suggestion: Hospitals are expected to facilitate the improvement of knowledge that can influence mothers’ attitudes and decision-making in administering HB0 immunization to their infants.
