Development is a process of psychological change resulting from the maturation of a child’s physical and mental functions. According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Depkes RI, 2006), around 16% of children under five in Indonesia experience developmental disorders, often due to a lack of appropriate stimulation. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between developmental stimulation and the development of preschool-aged children at Gaseh Poma Kindergarten, Banda Aceh. Methods: This research used a descriptive correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 76 respondents, including preschool-aged children and their mothers, selected using total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires, and data analysis was conducted using the Chi-square statistical test. Results: The findings showed a significant relationship between developmental stimulation and preschool children’s development (p-value = 0.000). Based on four aspects, there were significant relationships between gross motor stimulation (p-value = 0.000), fine motor stimulation (p-value = 0.000), language stimulation (p-value = 0.021), and social behavior stimulation (p-value = 0.000) with the development of preschool-aged children at Gaseh Poma Kindergarten, Banda Aceh. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between developmental stimulation and the development of preschool-aged children. Suggestion: Parents are expected to increase developmental stimulation efforts to support optimal child development.
