Abstract

Cases of dengue fever have not shown a significant decrease, sometimes even an improvement. This occurs due to the lack of public knowledge regarding dengue fever prevention efforts. So far, community participation and behavior in the prevention and eradication of dengue fever are still not optimal. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and the prevention of dengue fever at SDN 5 Jeumpa, Southwest Aceh Regency. Research method: The research design was an analytical survey with a cross-sectional approach. This study was conducted on July 1-5, 2023. The sample of this study was 47 students in grades 4-5 at SDN 5 Jeumpa, Southwest Aceh Regency. Results of the study: Knowledge mostly plays a role less (48.9%) and the level of prevention of dengue fever is mostly not good (55.3%). The results of the analysis of Knowledge with the Level of Prevention of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever with P-value (0.003). Conclusion: The results of the study show a significant relationship between Knowledge and the Level of Prevention of Dengue Fever at SDN 5 Jeumpa, Southwest Aceh Regency. Suggestion: Children should increase their knowledge about dengue fever prevention through health promotion
